I spent 10 years on the warehouse floor. Dock worker, dispatcher, logistics coordinator, operations supervisor. I’ve unloaded trailers at 5 AM in January. I’ve called carriers at 10 PM asking where their driver is. I’ve watched supervisors burn 4+ hours a day on door assignment and coordination that software should handle.

I watched dispatchers assign doors with a whiteboard. I watched $150/hr detention charges pile up because nobody tracked dwell time. I watched pickers walk twice the distance they needed to because nobody analyzed bin velocity. I watched carrier check-in take 15 minutes because nobody built a QR code flow.

The software that existed was either too expensive, too generic, or too complicated. The tools built for Fortune 500 warehouses didn’t understand a 3PL with 8 dock doors in Brampton. The startups building “smart” warehouse solutions had never set foot on a loading dock.

So I built OMNIS. Every feature, every screen, every alert threshold comes from a real problem I encountered on a real shift. The 60/75/90 minute detention alerts? Those are the exact intervals that matter to a dock supervisor. The 44px touch targets on the mobile app? That’s because I’ve tried to tap a button wearing winter gloves. The AI slotting engine? That’s because I’ve watched pickers walk past fast-movers shelved in the back corner.

OMNIS isn’t a warehouse management system designed by consultants. It’s an operations platform designed by an operator. One neural cortex. Every operation. Every feature earned its place on a real dock floor.
